Sign ups for our productions become available around the beginning of the year! You can find out more information from our instagram page! We also visit many schools in the area and leave flyers that have information on how to join and when auditions are going to take place. Our productions are a no-cut cast so you don’t have to worry about not making it! As long as you fit the grade requirement you are all good to go!
Our doors are open to all interested students from grades incoming 3rd to incoming 9th. We expect absolutely zero prior theater knowledge from our students and we love introducing new students to the world of theater! If a student does have theater experience, we would love to know and those highlight specific talents (singing, dancing, etc).
Rehearsals take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-3pm throughout the summer, unless stated otherwise. Each rehearsal, we make sure that we provide two 15 minute breaks and one 1 hour lunch. Unless stated otherwise, all students are required to attend each rehearsal.
Yes! In fact, we encourage all families to go on vacations and do the things they enjoy during the summer! All we ask from families is constant communication! As long as parents advise us about their vacations or absence in advance, we have no issue! However, if students missing without a proper excuse, they will not be featured in the number/scene that was worked on that day.
A typical day of rehearsal will always have 4 Fitz on Stage staff members present. Sergio and Karyme as well as 2 Production Assistants! Parents are welcome to join us in rehearsal to the side to watch their child. We ensure that all students are kept safe and treated fairly.
While we try to cater to all students and families, unfortunately, stage crew is handled by our older staff members with the help of high school students to prioritize their service hours. If your child is within the age range for our program, we highly encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and try something new! They might find a passion they never knew was there!
At Fitz on Stage, we believe in equitable access to theater for all families of all backgrounds. By keeping our fee at a reasonable and very affordable rate, we avoid any families missing out on these opportunities! However, if families are able to and willing, we encourage them to donate to our GoFundMe which helps tremendously with sets, costumes, food, etc.
