Fitz on Stage

Karyme Morales
Director, Producer, Creative Director
Fitz on Stage is a theater organization established by Karyme Morales and Sergio Gonzalez. They are both alumni from St. Ignatius and had the opportunity to act in musical productions led by Ms. Kathleen Fitzpatrick. Ms. Fitzpatrick triumphed in three wonderful productions and had plans set on a fourth. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the show was canceled, and with time, Ms. Fitzpatrick became severely ill. Sadly, after her courageous battle with cancer, Ms. Fitz took her place among the angels in April 2022. Sergio and Karyme, inspired by the life and passion of Ms. Fitz, pursued theater in their high school years. In 2025, Sergio and Karyme began talking about putting on a production in honor of Ms. Fitz.

Sergio Gonzalez
Director, Producer, Business Director
Fitz on Stage was created to bring theater to kids who have never had the opportunity to experience performing arts. Ms. Fitzpatrick showed all of her actors that theater was more than just acting, it was about fostering a loving, safe and inclusive environment. Keeping that in mind, Sergio and Karyme opened their arms to the entire community. Returning to St. Ignatius where it all began, Fitz on Stage invited kids from schools across the Greater Los Angeles area with absolutely no experience required. With the assistance of Roseanne Hill, who has been helping with musicals since Annie JR. in 2017, the crew has continued the mission of Ms. Fitz. A mission that promises a safe space where kids can find their voices, be confident in themselves, and most importantly a place where everyone can come together on one big stage. At Fitz on Stage, everybody fits on stage.
